About meHey, It's Brian

Brian Brennan portrait

I'm a healthcare executive with more than 30 years leading regional health systems, community hospitals, and clinics inside integrated delivery networks. In May 2025 I joined Hospital Sisters Health System as President & CEO of the Central Illinois Market and President & CEO of HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Before HSHS, I served as COO of Baylor Scott & White's Greater Austin Region, and earlier as System Vice President & COO of UT Health East Texas in Tyler. I started in nuclear medicine technology, fell in love with patient care, and built a career around helping leaders deliver safer, more compassionate care at scale.

I'm board-certified in healthcare management (FACHE), hold an MHA from the University of South Florida, and a B.S. in Nuclear Medicine Technology from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. My wife Emilee and I are glad to call Springfield home — and I'm looking forward to coaching leaders who want the same clarity I've chased in every market I've served.

My mission is to help leaders build healthier organizations — and healthier lives for the people they serve.
